Yapper Labs Inc. (“Yapper”) operates the Yapper macOS app and getyapper.app website. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what you control.

What stays on your device

By default, all audio, transcripts, the Whisper model, your custom dictionary, and your stats live only on your Mac. We never see them.

What we collect

• Account: email, hashed password, billing details (handled by Stripe).
• Aggregate metadata only: word counts, durations, latency measurements. Used for stats & billing. Never the words themselves.
• Opt-in cloud cleanup: the raw text fragment is sent to Anthropic for cleanup, then discarded. Not used for training.
